FAQ

What owners ask before they decide.

Sixteen answers on working together, scope and money, AI, and what happens after launch. Each one can be read on its own. The detail of each service is on the Services page.

Working together

What happens on the first call?

It lasts 30 minutes, at a time proposed in the first reply. The person on the call is the one who will design and build the work. It starts from what was written in the form, and it ends with a clear next step: a proposal with a fixed scope, a paid diagnostic first, or an honest answer that this is not work for Draypec.

What if the problem does not fit a fixed scope?

Then the first step is the paid diagnostic: two to four days inside the real process, with the people who do the work. It ends with a short report, explained in a 30-minute call: what is repeated by hand, what is worth automating first and what is better left alone, measured in hours per month given back to the team. The report belongs to the company whether or not a project follows, and if one does within 60 days, the full amount of the diagnostic is deducted from it.

We do not sell online yet. Can Draypec still help?

Yes, and a store is often not the first thing to build. When the sharpest pain is work done by hand, for example orders arriving by email, invoices copied by hand into a second system or stock that never matches, the right start is the diagnostic. It lists the routines worth automating and the hours each one would give back.

We already have an ERP. Will Draypec replace it?

No. Invoicing and accounting stay in the certified software the company already uses, whether Primavera, PHC, Sage or any other. On top of it we build what the team works in every day: orders, stock, margin. It reads from the ERP (the software where invoices and accounts live) and writes back through a queue a person can check. At Plurifil, the certified accounting software still issues every invoice; the software we built sits above it.

Who is behind Draypec?

Duarte Raposo, who built the four systems Plurifil uses every day before founding the agency: the online store, the internal software, the production-line app and the warehouse picking app. He is the person on the first call and the person on the project. Who executes, who approves and how far Draypec's responsibility goes is written in each proposal.

Scope and money

Does Draypec publish prices?

No. The rule is public: a fixed scope and one price, in writing, in the proposal, before anything is built. The price depends on the catalogue, the systems to connect and what has to be recovered from the old systems, so a public list would be wrong for almost every company. The proposal lists what is delivered, when, and what is left out.

Our company has an approved AI funding project. Can Draypec carry it out?

Yes. The public list from October 2026 counts 2,856 approved projects under the “IA nas PME” line, and each one needs someone to deliver what was approved: the diagnostic, the software, the connections between systems and the training of the team. Draypec does that part, delivered as the application describes it. Draypec does not assess eligibility and does not promise that a project will be funded.

How long does a migration to Shopify take?

For a small or medium-sized store the plan is two to three weeks, from the first day of work to opening day, and the deadline is agreed with the scope. A very large catalogue or unusual connections take longer, and that longer deadline goes into the proposal before it is signed.

Can we bring our customers and order history?

Yes, as far as the export from the current platform allows and within the data protection rules (GDPR). Customers, orders and products move. Passwords normally do not: for security, each customer creates a new one on the first purchase in the new store.

Does Shopify handle MB WAY, Multibanco and certified Portuguese invoices?

Not on its own. MB WAY and Multibanco references come through a Portuguese payment provider such as easypay or ifthenpay, connected during the project. Shopify also does not issue invoices certified by the tax authority, so the invoicing software the company already uses stays, whether Moloni, InvoiceXpress, Vendus or another, and is connected to the store. Each order produces its invoice with nobody typing it.

AI

If AI does everything, why would we need an agency?

AI makes a person who knows the work much faster. It does not know which routine to automate, which one to leave alone, or what to check before trusting a result. That judgement is what the company hires. The build is faster because of AI; what counts is still the result, counted in the company's own numbers.

What does «applied AI» mean in practice?

One routine inside the operation, with a pass mark written before work starts. For example: an order arrives as a PDF, the routine prepares the draft with the correct codes and quantities, and in the first week every document is counted against that mark. Typical routines: reading a document and preparing the entry, sorting requests that arrive by email, preparing a draft reply for a person to send.

Does AI write to our systems without anyone checking?

No. In every routine Draypec builds, AI prepares and a person approves before anything is saved in the company's systems. If a routine misses its written pass mark, it is switched off. The same holds for the other five services: AI speeds up the build, and the final yes belongs to people.

After launch

What happens after launch?

The team gets training and documentation, then 45 days of support for the things that only show up in daily use. After that the company runs it alone. If the company wants Draypec to stay on, that is agreed separately, in writing; the 45 days do not depend on it.

Does our company own the code and the accounts?

Yes. Accounts, code and files end up in the company's name. For a website, the domain, the hosting and the visitor statistics are registered in the company's own accounts from day one. For a store, the theme is code that stays with the company, and products, customers and orders can be exported at any time. The team is trained to run it without Draypec.

Will we lose our Google ranking if we change platform?

The risk is handled with a redirect map: every old address points to its new page with a permanent redirect (a 301), the category structure is kept and the product data Google reads is rebuilt in the new store. Traffic is lost when a platform changes without that work. Nobody can guarantee rankings, and Draypec does not.
